The political situation worldwide is such that terrorism knows no borders, and the burden for individual, social, corporate and national security is falling wider as a result. FACT has been created for the 21st Century, in an easily accessible industry form to provide support to other industry, Government Agencies, Non-Government Organisations (NGOs, such as Amnesty International), famine and war relief organisations and Other Government Departments with an interest in specialist weapons intelligence and ordnance related activities.

FACT staff have a weight of knowledge and expertise with a combined experience in the explosive industry of over 110 years. This includes active military service, surveillance, intelligence analysis, weapon/munition modification, weapon/explosive trials and equipment/munition design for the UK MoD.
